We would like to tell you a bit more about ourselves, Jaap and Lia Teeling- van Hal, and where you will be our guests:

Even as a child, Jaap often visited the mountains with his parents, and always did all kinds of mountain-related activities such as climbing (up to leading youth courses for the KNAV, the current NKBV), hiking, (touring) skiing, cross-country skiing, via ferrata, etc.
From college onwards, I joined this (albeit at a slightly more moderate level) and also developed a love for mountains.

Since living in the mountains was far away at the time, Jaap chose to pursue his other loves, wine and food, and trained as a vinologist and cook.
I swapped my place as an operating assistant Thoracic Surgery at the operating table for a management job in healthcare, and was the central point of contact and the spider in the web at several companies.
I am also creative. This is especially evident behind the sewing machine, which has had an important role in my life since childhood.

Active in the mountains we have always remained. As parents of a family with four sons, we were somewhere in the mountains every summer and winter. As soon as the boys could walk, they joined us with backpacks (with mackintosh and water bottle) on various hiking trails and hut trips, and they are always up for skiing.

Spring 2023, the opportunity presented itself to take over an apartment complex in the mountains in Ehrwald,. And in the summer of 2023, things finally changed:
we swapped our jobs, respectively as self-employed (vinologist, chef and caterer) and healthcare manager, for a challenging existence in the peaceful mountain world in Austria.

We will now put our experience and knowledge in hospitality, catering, arranging, organising, improvising, etc. to work for ourselves and our guests.
